Shevell Group honors its best of the best workers for 2010 (January 2011)

The Shevell Group is proud to announce its 2010 annual award winners. The following is the list of outstanding employees who were recognized from the companies of the Shevell Group:

Dan Carrano has been honored as the 2010 winner of the Arlene Shevell award. This award is given annually to the worker who exemplifies the highest level of dedication within the Shevell Group. Dan started with New England Motor Freight in August of 2004 as maintenance manger in Elizabeth, NJ. In September of 2005, Dan relocated to Lehighton, PA where he took over the daily operation of NEMF'S largest maintenance facility and was named a regional maintenance manger. It’s a compliment to Dan and the team of maintenance professionals working with him to receive this recognition.

NEMF is pleased to announce that George Marshall is the recipient of the 2010 National Accounts Sales Award. This award is given annually to the NAE who achieves superior sales performance. George has been employed with NEMF as National Account Executive based out of Dallas, Texas for the past 8 years. His area of responsibility includes the states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington. George is a repeat winner having received this recognition in 2009.

Tony Corrado, Account Executive based out of the Bethpage, NY terminal, has been recognized as the winner of the Jon Shevell Account Executive of the Year award for 2010. This award is given annually to the Account Executive who attains goals in a variety of categories including, territory growth, yield management and new business opportunities for the company. Tony joined NEMF in March of 1999. His dedication and work ethic have been the keys to his success.

Peter Dembroski of the Albany, NY Terminal has been named the recipient of the 2010 Paul Danzak Sales Award. The award is presented to the account executive who achieves the greatest territory sales growth over the previous year. Pete joined NEMF in April of 2009 and as a result of his effort, commitment and a positive attitude, he has been a leader in the region in securing new business for the company.

The NEMF Meriden, CT terminal has been named Terminal of the Year for 2010. In determining the award, NEMF measures each terminal’s performance in a variety of areas. Judging criteria include service, safety, claims reduction, revenue growth and operating improvement over the prior year. Congratulations to manager John Webber and all of our workers at the Meriden terminal.

The 2010 recipient of the Mark Jensen Award is Dennis Campagnoli, Senior EDI Manager who joined the company in May of 2002. This award is presented annually to the employee who demonstrates administrative and management excellence. In his current role, Dennis has successfully managed solutions for a high volume of customer EDI transactions which have enabled the company to reduce cost through the use of electronic data interchange. He has brought a high level of support, expertise and reliability to our IT department throughout the years.

Eastern Freightways is pleased to announce that Patricia Palmieri (Pat) has been chosen as the “Most Valuable Player” in 2010. Pat joined Eastern in 2002 as a customer service representative and has since been promoted to Customer Service Manager. Pat maintains both internal and external customer service at its highest level. She has received numerous accolades from both customers as well as company sales representatives over the past year. Pats loyalty and dedication are a true asset to the Shevell Group of companies.
